TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran’s OPEC governor Mohammad Ali Khatibi says oil price must be placed between 70-80 dollars per barrel to improve investment.
Khatibi has already been reported saying Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will probably curb output in the upcoming meeting next month.
Despite the increase of oil price which reached 58 dollars, the price is still near 90 dollars lower than its peak in last summer, he said.
“We believe that this level of price won’t lead to increase of investment in producing countries thus oil price must reach 70-80 dollars.”
